Mr. Eleazer Kissi Asante serves as the Public Relations Officer (PRO) for the
Orthopedic Training Center (OTC) in Nsawam, Ghana. In this role, he is
instrumental in communicating the Center’s mission and needs to the public,
advocating for the rights and inclusion of physically challenged individuals.
Mr. Asante has highlighted the challenges faced by children with disabilities,
noting that many have undergone amputations or live with special conditions,
yet often face rejection from schools due to their physical limitations. He
emphasises the importance of societal support to ensure these children receive
the education and care they deserve.
Beyond advocacy, Mr. Asante actively engages with donors and partners to
garner support for the Center’s initiatives. For instance, during a donation event
by a 16-year-old autistic cyclist, he expressed gratitude for the support,
underscoring the impact such contributions have on the lives of the Center’s
beneficiaries. Through his dedication, Mr. Asante plays a pivotal role in
advancing the OTC's mission to rehabilitate and empower individuals with
physical disabilities across Ghana.
