At MIDCA Nigeria, we believe that every child—regardless of physical challenges—deserves the opportunity to thrive. Our mission is to foster inclusive communities that celebrate ability, dignity, and potential.
Through innovative medical care and unwavering support, we’re breaking barriers and opening doors to a future where disability does not limit dreams.
As I had not attended the Overcomers Family Church International in Milton Keynes for quite a while, I contacted Pastors George and Grace to check on the time their Sunday service took place. I found out that they were away in Ghana, were returning in two weeks and they informed me that in the period since my last church visit, they had rescheduled the service from its usual afternoon space to a time slot earlier in the morning.
Having delayed my visit until their return and changing my former regular routine, I set out to church on the morning of Sunday 12 November 2023. On my walk, I heard some worship music, and after the service I walked back to try and find out where that music had emanated from. I discovered it had been coming from the Living Wisdom Word Ministry, a Nigerian church, where I met Pastor Bisi Adelowo and Dr Biola Adelowo.
Dr Biola who is a GP in the UK introduced me to Dr Olusegun Oyagbesan, an
orthopaedic surgeon at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital in Osun State Nigeria.
At an event on 17 December 2023, Pastor Joseph and Apostle Deborah Edoyibo prayed for the expansion of GIHOC’s territories. Within sixteen weeks, by the end of February 2024, surgery was given to our first child in Nigeria, by mid-June another six children had undergone successful surgery, and another two girls are planning to have their procedures in the summer school holidays.
That I made contact to learn of revised church service times, that I delayed my
church visit till the return of Pastors George and Grace, that I only heard the worship music because I was walking at a time I would not have normally been passing the Nigerian church is all evidence that Divine Intervention has eased the progress of our mission in Nigeria.
