At MIDCA Kenya, we are committed to a future where every child, regardless of physical limitations, is empowered to reach their full potential. We champion inclusive communities that honor the strength and value of every individual.
With advanced care and dedicated support, we’re transforming lives and creating spaces where all children can rise beyond limitations.
On the 28 March 2024, a close acquaintance asked me to collect her friend who was returning to America from Kenya and had a two-day stopover visit to the UK.
During my conversation with her friend, Paul Macharia, I happened to mention our work in Ghana and in Nigeria. He showed a lot of interest, so I asked if he was aware of anyone in Kenya who might be able to help us there.
Paul told me he wanted to introduce me to a friend of his, Joyce Munyua, who could be in a position to help. Joyce works for the Nyandarua County Assembly as representative for disabled people. She, in turn, connected me with Livingstone Koech Maritim,
Patient Relations Officer at CURE International Children's Hospital Kijabe
Only four weeks later, on 28 April the first child had his medical procedure there.
By the middle of June 2024, the Divine Intervention of three months earlier had
paved the way to changing the lives of twelve children, who by then had completed or were undergoing procedures.
